How do I calculate bank, elevation and heading (roll, pitch, yaw)? |
|
Bank (often referred to as roll) and elevation (often referred to as pitch) may be calculated directly from accelerometer data. Heading (often referred to as yaw) may be calculated from magnetometer data. However, calculating heading is slightly more complicated in that bank and elevation must be removed prior to performing the calculations to achieve accurate results.
